How To Film In 360

Today we are outside of Reading, UK, using one of the best 360 cameras to create and film a live action trailer for the marketing launch of a new military mobile game. The location we’re at is RAF Greenham Common, opened in 1942, it was used during the Second World War and it was closed in 1993. Since its closure, the abandoned military base has been used for several major productions including Top Gear and Star Wars. A place with an incredible history, it’s great to here!

We filming using a new VR technology for the first time, it’s exciting and pushing the limits of what’s possible and what we know. There has been a lot of research and planning that’s gone into the video, weeks of preparation are behind us!

The content will be shot in in one full take, making it easier to edit and stitch together in post-production. If something goes wrong or someone doesn’t react in the best way, we must reset and go again, it won’t be easy, but we’re excited to knock it out of the park.
