1. Emily Ratajkowski is reclaiming her image with an NFT
Emily Ratajkowski is reclaiming her image (and the right to earn from it), by selling a photo of herself posing in front of a work by Richard Prince. Back in September last year, Emily Ratajkowski shared with the world the story of an artist who appropriated one of her shared photos and sold a canvas print of it for $90,000.
2. How media consumption has changed over the last decade
Today, we consume more media than at any point in time in the last decade, including an average of 4 hours and 12 minutes is spent on mobile devices. This data from Recode looks at how many minutes U.S. adults spend on various forms of media, comparing mobile, desktop, radio, television, and magazines.
3. Who is Niko Omilana? Meet the YouTuber turned London mayor candidate
Niko Omilana is a British YouTuber, best known for his comedy videos. Just weeks after his campaign launch, a poll showed Omilana in fifth place, with 5% of respondents stating that he would be their first preference vote.

4. Instagram now lets you add captions to your Stories
Instagram is adding a small but incredibly welcome feature: you can now add subtitles to your Stories. And in a very Instagram-y move, you do so via a special sticker. The app also lets you edit words to make sure your messages actually come across as intended, as well as customize the font and style of the captions.
5. Facebook reveals new features for creators to earn money from ecommerce sales
The company will build new features starting with Instagram for content creators to earn money from recommending products on the app and a marketplace to help connect brands with influencers. The social network will launch “creator shops” as part of the ecommerce push.
6. Snapchat previews new original shows, creator marketplace to facilitate brand/influencer partnerships
Snapchat has shared its latest slate of Snap Original programming, a key element of growth for the platform, while it’s also previewed its new Creator Marketplace, which will eventually facilitate brand/influencer partnerships for on-platform campaigns. First off, on the latest Snap Originals – Snapchat has announced a range of new shows, including content from Megan Thee Stallion, Niki and Gabi DeMartino, and TikTok stars Charli and Dixie D’Amelio.

7. PlayStation to integrate Discord chat for gamers
Sony will integrate the popular online chat platform Discord into its PlayStation Network by 2022. The electronics giant has invested in the app and now holds a minority stake in the company. Discord is used by more than 140 million gamers each month, mainly on PC and mobile devices. Gaming experts hope the partnership will enable gamers using different consoles and devices to interact more easily.
