Gucci is taking its collaboration with Roblox to the next level, by creating Gucci Garden, a virtual brand experience right within the online game platform. The virtual event is a reproduction of Gucci’s real-world multimedia installation taking place at the Gucci Palace in Florence, Italy, in celebration of the brand’s 100th anniversary.

Shein overtakes Amazon as the most installed shopping app in US

Shein‘s quiet rise has reached a crescendo as the fast fashion e-commerce app takes the crown from Amazon as the most downloaded shopping app in the US. Its ascent is quiet because the startup (dubbed the “TikTok for e-commerce), despite reportedly exceeding a $15 billion valuation, maintains an unusually low profile and doesn’t try to make itself known to the media.

3. ByteDance: TikTok’s co-founder to step down as chief executive

The CEO and co-founder of TikTok’s owner ByteDance has announced he will step down and transition to a new role by the end of the year. In a letter to employees, Zhang Yiming said he will be succeeded by fellow co-founder Rubo Liang. The move marks the biggest shake-up at the Chinese technology giant since its launch almost a decade ago.


4. Instagram announces new ‘Creator Week’ event to provide platform insights and tips

Instagram announces new 'Creator Week' event to provide platform insights and tips

Running from June 8th to June 10th, the platform will host a range of professional development programs for aspiring and emerging creators, in order to help them build their careers via Instagram and Facebook tools. The three-day event will include sessions like ‘How to Supercharge Your Community’, ‘Media Training 101’, ‘How to Break Into Entertainment’, ‘How to Start a Podcast’ and ‘How to Get Discovered on Instagram’

5. Snapchat reveals next-gen AR glasses

Snapchat is releasing augmented-reality (AR) glasses to let some content creators put digital creations into the world around them. AR in this case is a mix of computer graphics, such as 3D models, overlaid on the real world. But the new version of the “Spectacles” product will not be available to just anyone. Instead, the company is offering them to a “select group of global creators” in the AR field.


6. WATCH: Kiyan Prince’s legacy lives on for Queens Park Rangers in FIFA 21

Former QPR youth player Kiyan Prince has been honoured in Fifa 21 to mark the 15th anniversary of his death. He was stabbed to death at 15 while trying to break up a fight at school. Now, 15 years later, the life and legacy of Kiyan Prince is to be commemorated with his addition to EA Sports’ blockbuster video game.
