With a following of over 300 million Dwayne Johnson’s following as an actor and TV personality has grown significantly over the years. He is more commonly known amongst Gen X in terms of cultural importance however, with the rise of TikTok trends, he has taken over multiple platforms with almost 230 million instagram followers and a following of 35.7 million on TikTok.

Rihanna, pop icon now turned business mogul, has always had an active relationship with her fans a.k.a The Navy. With approximately 104M followers on Twitter alone, she has never backed down on the app and has previously been known to have a strong set of ‘Twitter fingers’ back when she was active on her Twitter account. Her Instagram profile ‘badgalriri’ has 121M followers and although she is known as a musician through and through, you can add fashion influencer and beauty influencer to the list as she continues to dominate multiple markets with Savage x Beauty, Fenty Beauty and Fenty Skin.

Ellen DeGeneres – 260M

Talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres, known mainly for her critically acclaimed TV show, has 260 million followers across social media platforms. Mainly popular amongst the Baby Boomer generation, she has 114M followers on Instagram which mainly shares viral-esque moments from the show. 

Addison Rae – 126.9M 

Addison Rae rose to internet fame on TikTok in July 2019 when she consistently posted trending videos on the platform. She now has 86.6 million followers on TikTok and 40.3 million followers on Instagram. She is known for being the fourth most followed individual on TikTok as well as being named the highest-earning personality on the platform. Addison Rae is the perfect example of becoming a celebrity who became famous because of social media rather than having an established fan base prior. 

Huda Kattan – 61.8M

The beauty and fashion influencer rose to prominence through her blog Huda Beauty which became the #1 blog in the Middle East and a top 20 beauty blog worldwide. She is one of the top earning beauty influencers with almost 50 million followers on Instagram and 7.8 million TikTok followers. Not only is she an influential beauty influencer, she is also the co-founder of the Huda Beauty cosmetics line which launched in 2013. 

Cole Sprouse – 45.5M

American actor and photographer Cole Sprouse is best known for being the star of the Disney Channel TV show ‘The Suite Life of Zack and Cody’ alongside his twin brother Dylan. After taking a social media hiatus, the famous influencer now has approximately 35.9 million followers on Instagram and 9.6M followers on Twitter. Adding photographer to his repertoire of talents, he has also had shoot assignments for Teen Vogue, The Sunday Times Style, and W magazine. Furthermore, adding to his overall follower count, Cole has a photography Instagram account @camera_duels which he states is ‘dedicated to the people out there who secretly take photos of me, and how I take photos of them first.
