8 OF THE BEST HALLOWEEN MARKETING CAMPAIGNS TO COME OUT OF 2024
Fanta X Beetlejuice
Get ready for spooky sips! In collaboration with Warner Bros, Fanta is serving up some thrilling Halloween marketing campaigns to celebrate the upcoming Beetlejuice sequel starring Jenna Ortega and Michael Keaton. The Summon What You Wanta campaign introduces a limited-edition Haunted Apple flavour in ghoulish green packaging, featuring Michael Keaton’s iconic Beetlejuice character.
But that’s not all—other classic Fanta flavours are decked out in festive Beetlejuice makeovers, like Fanta Orange with Astrid (Jenna Ortega), Fanta Fruit Twist with Lydia (Winona Ryder), and more!
Each can also gives fans a shot at exclusive prizes: scan the QR codes on the cans for a chance to win Beetlejuice cinema tickets, Fright Nights passes at Thorpe Park, and other haunted surprises. This Halloween, Fanta’s bringing chills, thrills, and deliciously twisted flavours!
Heinz
You know Halloween’s almost here (and The Joker’s back in cinemas) when Heinz jumps in with a creepy “smile” twist for its latest global campaign! Introducing “Heinz Smiles,” a cheeky series of digital, OOH, and social ads crafted by Gut New York that plays into the unapologetically messy love Heinz fans have for ketchup.
Inspired by research showing that Heinz lovers proudly defy dining etiquette for a perfect bite, these Halloween marketing campaigns put all that red-faced devotion front and centre. “Our fans will go all in for the best-tasting ketchup,” says Europe lead Hannah Winterbourne, “and we’re here to celebrate it!”
With the playful tagline “It Ha-Ha-Has to be Heinz,” the campaign blends humour and that signature Heinz taste, bringing a bit of spooky fun to a timeless brand.
e.l.f.
e.l.f. Skin’s new “Divine Skintervention” is a Halloween marketing campaign that uses humour to spotlight Gen Z’s “skin sins.” Featuring comedian Meg Stalter as a devilish “Sinfluencer,” she’s decked out in Halloween devil attire, tempting viewers with “sinful” skincare choices like using any old product or splurging on overpriced gadgets.
This playful campaign, created with Day One Agency, will appear across Disney+, Hulu, and other streaming platforms. It also features an interactive U.S. and U.K. landing page where users can get personalised product recommendations based on their “confessions.”
“Divine Skintervention” is part of e.l.f.’s mission to connect with Gen Z and become a cultural staple in beauty, with Halloween marketing campaigns like this helping drive major brand growth.
Snickers
In Snickers’ latest Halloween marketing campaign, viewers get a hilarious treat! The ad features a couple setting up Halloween decorations, but things take a twist when their mechanical zombie starts twerking in the yard! With the tagline “Confused? Maybe you just need a Snickers,” the couple looks baffled, munching on Snickers bars while a mother nearby shields her kid’s eyes from the zombie’s unexpected dance moves.
This fun, light-hearted ad nails Snickers’ playful spirit, making it a memorable addition to our list of Halloween marketing campaigns.
Burger King
Burger King is back in the Halloween marketing campaigns game, and this year’s menu is all about The Addams Family! Known for past spooky hits like the black-bunned “Halloween Whopper” and the “Upside-Down Whopper” for Stranger Things, it’s really outdone itself this time with an Addams-inspired lineup that’s as eerie as it is delicious.
First up is Wednesday’s Whopper, served on a goth-worthy purple bun made from purple potato and sprinkled with black sesame seeds, loaded with Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and all the classic toppings. Then there are Thing’s Rings, Burger King’s crispy onion rings packaged in a nod to the Addams’ iconic hand, Thing. For a sweet twist, Gomez’s Churro Fries bring the spice with cinnamon sugar and a chocolate dipping sauce. Finally, Morticia’s Kooky Chocolate Shake features soft serve mixed with chocolate fudge and topped with black and purple cookie pieces.
The fun doesn’t stop there—the “Fright or Bite” campaign offers fans a shot at prizes, and kids can score limited-edition Addams Family King Jr. Meal toys.

M&M’s
M&M’s is stepping up the Halloween marketing campaigns this year with a fun partnership with Amazon’s video doorbell brand, Ring! Now, when trick-or-treaters show up, they’re greeted by the sassy M&M’s mascot, Red, who’s ready with some “fun and festive quick replies.” Instead of the usual “hold on, I’m coming,” Red flips the script, saying things like, “Want a treat? The trick’s on you—shake like a skeleton, head, shoulders, knees, and toes!” Or even, “Ride an invisible broomstick for me…haha, you’ve raised my spirits!”
M&M’s is all about bringing some Halloween mischief to the Ring experience, encouraging homeowners to join in on the fun and share their visitors’ hilarious reactions on social media. Running through to the 4th November, the campaign also taps into influencers and is supported by in-store displays, social media, and paid media. M&M’s expects this playful partnership to hit over 10 million impressions, turning Ring doorbells into Halloween fun for everyone!
Squashies X Beetlejuice
Swizzels is getting into the spooky spirit with a Halloween marketing campaign that teams up with Beetlejuice to launch their new Squashies Squeletons sweets! Developed by One Agency Media, this fun campaign features a catchy 30-second film that highlights both the new Squashies Squeletons and their popular Scrumptious Sweets.
Running throughout October, you’ll catch this ad at Pearl & Dean cinemas just in time for the screenings of Tim Burton’s highly-anticipated Beetlejuice.
“We’re super excited to unveil our uniquely shaped Halloween treats, designed to add a sweet twist to your celebrations,” said Claire Lee, Swizzels’ senior brand manager. “This is our first-ever Halloween-themed Squashies, and we think the ads will be a big hit with all the Halloween fans out there!”
