Quick tip – when you’re taking the Caledonian Sleeper train up to the Highlands, make sure you wake up as soon as the sun rises for those incredible views of the Highlands. Our train wasn’t due to get in to Fort William till 10am so we had no plans to get up earlier until the conductor mentioned it so we got up around 6ish AM for the views and it was so worth it.
