Weekly Non-Negotiables: 8th June

Each week, we’re committed to sharing our social media recommendations with you. Whether it’s a binge-worthy TV show, something that’ll soundtrack your day, or a page-turner we can’t put down, we’ve got the good stuff to guide you through your week.

Let us put you on!

To Eat: Pie Hole

Looking for proper pies at lunch? Then do we have the hole in the wall for you. This tiny kitchen does some of London’s best pies, all out of a small window in the Rosewood Hotel. Flakey, burning hot, and oozing with flavour, you just can’t miss this.

To Smell: You Rêve

Glossier has truly done it again. Their latest skin-enhancing scent is a musky gourmand, leaning on notes of plum butter and toasted almonds to bring a richness to its white sandalwood base. A warmer take on their You scents, this one is a must-try.

To Listen: Nettles, Ethel Cain

Ethel Cain’s latest single brings us back to the world of Willoughby Tucker, in an 8-minute master piece filled with love and yearning. A dramatic left turn from her previous album, Nettles promises a lighter, story-filled album may be on the horizon.

To Read: I Who Have Never Known Men

Jacqueline Harpman’s 1995 sci-fi novel has recently been doing the rounds online, and it is no wonder why. This eerie dystopian tale follows a woman finally being released from the isolated bunker she has grown up in. But what she grapples with next is far more terrifying than living a life behind bars: freedom.

To Watch: A Few Good Men

Starring Tom Cruise, Demi Moore, and Jack Nicholson, this 1992 American legal drama film is a classic for a reason. Following the legal trial of two U.S. Marines charged with the murder of a fellow Marine, this straight-faced drama is a must-watch.
