No, Timothée didn’t arrive by Lime bike this year. Instead he arrived with the lovely Kylie Jenner on his arm. The two proved their relationship is still going strong after a few public displays of affection throughout the ceremony, hinting that their honeymoon phase is far from over and serving up the most romantic BAFTAs moments of the night. The pair’s attendance also sparked the following other-wordly interaction…

A David Tennant and Kylie Jenner interaction?

Timmy didn’t take home any BAFTAs for A Complete Unknown, but he still got his fair share of teasing from Tennant. “We’re lucky tonight to have the runner-up from New York’s Timothée Chalamet lookalike competition with us. Welcome to the BAFTAs, young man… Great attention to detail, I see you’re with a Kylie Jenner lookalike—well done!”, prompting the comical reaction below from Miss Jenner.

Selena Gomez stuns in Schiaparelli

BAFTAs or the Met Gala? Selena Gomez graced the red carpet in a figure-hugging, black and silver Schiaparelli gown, and her body adorned with matching jewellery. The Emilia Pérez actress may not have won any awards last night, but she certainly turned heads and left a lasting impression on the fashion world.

Conclave dominated the night with four wins

It was a fierce battle between Conclave and The Brutalist, but the former came out on top with four wins in major categories, including Best Film and Outstanding British Film. Despite his predecessors pulling the Trump card in their speeches, Berger’s was devoid of political sentiment as he said, “We live in a time of a crisis of democracy, and institutions usually used to bring us together are being used to pull us apart […] Sometimes it’s hard to keep the faith in that situation, but that’s why we make movies, and that’s why we made this movie… To end with a quote from Leonard Cohen, ‘There’s a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in.’” This speech alone deserves a spot on our BAFTAs moments roundup!

Jeff Goldblum paid tribute to David Lynch and Maggie Smith

The industry suffered some tremendous losses this past year, but luckily Jeff Goldblum was on-hand to pay tribute to them. The Wonderful Wizard of Oz himself played “As Time Goes By” during the In Memoriam segment of the evening, which recognised the likes of David Lynch, Maggie Smith, and more. A moment for Goldblum’s emerald-green waistcoat, too.

Mikey Madison wins Leading Actress

Mikey Madison created one of the most memorable BAFTAs moments during her acceptance speech for Best Actress at the 2025 BAFTAs. The 25-year-old won for her role in Anora, where she plays a stripper in NYC who marries a Russian oligarch’s son. Caught by surprise, Madison joked, “I probably should’ve listened to my publicist!” She thanked her mum for driving her to auditions and her cast and director, Sean Baker. But it was her powerful tribute to sex workers that truly stood out, saying, “I see you, you deserve respect,” making it a moment viewers won’t forget.

Wallace and Gromit make a red carpet appearance

Of all the stars that shone on the red carpet last night, no one shone brighter than Wallace, Gromit, and their co-star Norbot. Wallace And Gromit fans were pleasantly surprised when their ‘iconic’ figurines made a mini appearance on the BAFTAs red carpet, after being nominated for a new category award.

A representative of Aardvark Productions displayed the characters behind their own mini picture wall as they graced the Royal Festival Hall. The three figurines really went all out for their red carpet debut, each rocking a sparkly red dickie bow. Later, movie co-directors Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham joined the fun, looking sharp in their tuxedos.

Ariana Grande pays homage to Glinda in Louis Vuitton

Ariana Grande’s Wicked press tour has solidified her status as a Hollywood style icon! From fuchsia Louis Vuitton gowns to gingham Thom Browne dresses, she’s been channeling her character, Glinda the Good Witch, with every look. At the Golden Globes, she switched it up with a vintage yellow Givenchy Haute Couture gown, while at the Critics’ Choice Awards, she wowed in a sculptural Dior dress. 

For the BAFTAs, she embraced Glinda’s signature pink again, rocking a custom Louis Vuitton gown with a voluminous bubblegum-pink skirt, making her red carpet appearance one of the most mesmerising BAFTAs moments of the night!

Demi Moore’s gown by Alexander McQueen was the perfect choice for the BAFTAs

Seán McGirr, creative director at Alexander McQueen, recently shared that he wants his designs to capture youthful energy and “the animal within.” That vibe was perfect for Demi Moore, star of The Substance, whose character literally bursts out of her skin in one of the film’s most intense moments. 

At the 2025 BAFTAs, Demi wowed in a glittering McQueen halter-neck gown with a stained glass motif, paired with stunning De Beers diamonds. Her stylist, Brad Goreski, raved about the gown’s intricate embroidery, which perfectly mirrored her character’s complexity.
