JW ANDERSON TAKES OVER OLD BILLINGSGATE
Once the world’s largest fish market, Old Billingsgate was transformed into one of the most high profile events of the season by JW Anderson this year for Fashion Week 2025.
With the Tower Bridge towering in the distance, celebrities such as Normani and James Blake descended on the Victorian building to perch on teetering white stools. As per usual, nailing down a theme for Anderson’s new collection is ever the illusive task. Featuring nods to adolescence, models were seen in minidresses, blindingly bright sequins, and structured bubble skirts.
What left tongues wagging? The subtlety. Anderson has been known for extravagant themes and over the top catwalk designs, but SS25 was stripped back and simple; a heavy focus on the craft itself.

HEDI SLIMANE EXITS CELINE AFTER 7 DEDICATED YEARS
After 7 years of illusive, artful collaboration, Hedi Slimane is leaving Celine smack bang in the middle of Fashion Week 2025.
Announced by Celine parent company LVMH, Slimane’s departure caused waves in the fashion world. Slimane helped establish Celine as a formidable luxury house, redefining its men’s and perfume sectors. He became particularly famous for his indie-sleaze tight skinny jeans.
Speculations on his next moves have already started to whirl around, with many supposing he may be on his way to Channel.

DECLAN RICE STRUTS HIS STUFF IN LABRUM’S ARSENAL SHOW
Paving the way for a new era of love between football and fashion, Arsenal star Declan Rice strutted his stuff at the Labrum Fashion Week 2025 in london.
Held in Arsenal’s Emirates stadium, models walked along the pitch donned in a collection that lived and breathed football. From Arsenal inspired suits to Adidas football boots, Labrum used the collection to show just how much football means to it.

DANIEL LEE TAKES OVER THE NATIONAL THEATRE
Set against the backdrop of the harsh National Theatre on London’s South Bank, Burberry’s SS25 Fashion Show drew in impressively large crowds.
With the simple tagline “born of function, grounded in heritage”, the show delivered more frills than many were expecting. From sequin dresses topped off with frills, to utility forward jackets, Burberry stuck to its classic “nice dress and a cute jacket” heritage.
The show’s A-List nature was only amplified by its guest list, which saw names such as Barry Keoghan, Jack Harlow and TikTok famous Nara and Lucky Blue Smith.

COMME DES GARCONS SHOWS US WHAT DREAMS ARE MADE OF
Designer Rei Kawakubo continued to share her fresh takes on fashion with her SS25 Comme des Garcons runway.
A playful combination of stiff structures, flouncy skirts, and whipped cream-esque hats, the runway was nothing short of dreamy. Seeming to draw inspiration from both confectionary and Greek Doric columns, Kawakubo truly delivered this season.
The show left all excited to see what the creative designer has to come.

LOUBOUTIN CREATES A WORLD OF FANTASY
Louboutin truly took fashion shows to the next level this year.
With a show that featured pole dancing, synchronised swimming, and Dave LaChapelle catapulting into a pool, it was a wonder anyone had time to notice the gazillions of red bottom shoes present. Centred around a 50s pin-up inspired synchronised swimming performance by the French Olympic team, Louboutin created a stunning event that will forever live on in the minds of those lucky enough to be in attendance.

STELLA MCCARTNEY LOOKS TO THE SKIES FOR INSPIRATION
Inspired by our feathered friends, Stella McCartney debuted her SS25 bird-style collection.
Utilising simple silhouettes, neutral colours, and soft textures, the collection was a breath of fresh air that emphasised the light, free spirited nature of birds. With a surprising ‘80s power dressing theme, boxer shoes were used to add structure and ground the collection.
To top it off, the entire collection was sustainable and vegan, using leather crafted from recycled plastic bottles and fake feathers.

YSL CRAFTS AN ANDROGYNOUS, WOOLEN UNIVERSE
Born from the personal style of Yves Saint Laurent, Creative Director Anthony Vaccarello delivered a collection of power suits.
Worn by a series of models dressed to imitate YSL, the collection was structured, woollen, and sharp with an emphasis on crisp tailoring. Reminiscent of ‘70s influences, YSL’s collection oozed androgynous high fashion and was a perfect celebration of the infamous designer.
Bella Hadid made a feature in the show, one of her many walks over the Fashion Week season, part of her ongoing re-entry into the world of high fashion.
