SP Diaries #6: Natasha Woollard, Account Director

What does it take to be a hot shot Account Director here at Socially Powerful?

Without our amazing team of Account Directors, Socially Powerful would cease to exist. Our dedicated team put blood, sweat, tears, and laughter, to make sure that all our accounts are running smoothly and delivering excellent results to our clients.

We sat down with Natasha Woollard this week, to find out about her journey and how she got to where she is today.

When did you start working at SP?

I began my journey with SP in July 2017, when I was a bright eyed and bushy tailed 21 year old and wasn’t tired all the time!

What is your role?

I am an Account Director.

What does your role entail?

My responsibilities include overseeing and leading influencer campaigns, managing clients social channels, and advising on the creative direction for various Fashion and Beauty accounts in the UK and US. I ensure that deadlines are met, the client is satisfied with our work, and that the team, especially junior members, maintain the highest standards of quality in all projects.

Could you describe an average week for you?

No week is the same, which keeps things exciting. My week includes client calls for campaign updates and progress checks, along with internal meetings to confirm that tasks are on track and deadlines are being met and dealing with any issues that come our way!

Why did you choose to work at SP?

Influencer marketing was just starting to take off, and I was obsessed with influencer content at the time,  especially YouTube when long-form content was at its peak. I wanted to be part of an industry I was passionate about and one that I knew was only going to keep growing.

What do you enjoy about working at SP?

Watching SP evolve from a small agency to what it is today has been incredibly rewarding. I love that every team member’s contribution is valued, our tight-knit team supports and celebrates each other’s successes and I am proud to be a part of it.

What do you like about the industry?

The dynamic nature of this industry is what excites me the most. It’s constantly evolving, offering new challenges and opportunities to innovate and grow.

What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned in your career?

Believing in yourself is crucial. Imposter syndrome is common, but it should never deter you from recognizing your own accomplishments and potential. In the words of Kris Jenner, “You are doing amazing Sweetie!”.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your role?

Hard work is key. This role isn’t suited for those looking for a straightforward 9-5 job. Success and recognition come to those who are dedicated and willing to put in the effort to stand out and achieve their goals. And one final note, Work hard, Play hard!
