L'Oréal USA Influencer Campaign: 60k+ Creators, 18 Brands

How We Got 60,000+ Creators Posting for 18 L'Oréal USA Brands
L'Oréal USA has 18 brands across three divisions, and every one of them needs people talking about its products online. Over more than 100 campaigns, we sent products to 60,000+ influencers, helped sell out two IT Cosmetics launches and built ideas like a Kiehl's skincare mailer delivered in a pizza box. Here is how the work came together.

Challenge
18 brands competing for attention in the same social feeds
L'Oréal USA has one of the largest beauty portfolios in America, from Lancôme and Kiehl's to Maybelline, NYX and Pureology. Each brand has its own audience and launch calendar, but all of them compete for attention in the same social feeds. L'Oréal needed an agency that could handle dozens of launches a year across three divisions without making the content feel generic. That was hard, because creators and dermatologists receive products all the time. Every mailer, brief and campaign had to give them a reason to post.

strategy
We work with L'Oréal USA across all three divisions – LUXE, Professional Products and Consumer Products. Our approach combines a system for sending products to creators in large numbers with campaign ideas built for each brand.
For product seeding, we ran the whole process for 14 brands: designing the mailers, contacting creators, managing relationships and reporting on results. We used ARIA, our own AI tool, to search for creators and recognise products in their images. For LUXE, we put best-selling products from five brands into shared mailers, so every creator received something worth posting about.
We also made the mailers part of the story. Kiehl's sent a skincare mailer in a pizza box on Prime Day, to match its "fresh deals to your door" message. For IT Cosmetics' first facial SPF, we sent dermatologists custom "Hello Sunshine" kits, which got them talking about the product.
IT Cosmetics got a dedicated plan that matched each type of creator (dermatologists, makeup artists, beauty and lifestyle creators) to a stage of the buying journey. On top of that, we ran a break-up-themed launch called Bye Bye and an "Eat Cake, Don't Wear It" campaign for CC+ Natural Matte. We also teamed up eight L'Oréal colour cosmetics brands with ULTA for the group's first multi-brand, social-first retail campaign. It centred on a custom Back to School TikTok sound.

results
5.4% average engagement across 100+ campaigns
Across 18 brands, we ran more than 100 campaigns with over 60,000 creators. Paid campaigns averaged a 5.4% engagement rate. Our seeding campaigns reached more than 40,000 influencers and produced over 50,000 pieces of content. The shared LUXE mailers got a 70% posting rate across four or more campaigns.
The creative ideas drove the strongest results. The Kiehl's pizza mailer earned more than 2,000 pieces of content at a 16% engagement rate, and two IT Cosmetics campaigns beat the 4.4% group benchmark by 69% and 81% and sold out the product both times.
