Article
When did you start working at SP?
I joined SP in July of this year.
What is your role?
I’m an Account Manager.
What does that entail?
As an Account Manager, I oversee influencer campaigns for clients. My role involves crafting creative campaign concepts, selecting and contracting talent, and providing ongoing campaign management and reporting. Each campaign is unique, but our primary goal is to drive reach and engagement that aligns with our clients’ objectives.
What does an average week look like for you?
No two days are the same at SP, which keeps things engaging and fulfilling. If I’m working on a proposal, my week is often filled with brainstorming creative ideas tailored to our talent’s channels and the client’s brand values. When managing an active campaign, my focus shifts to day-to-day oversight, ensuring we’re on track to meet our campaign goals. There’s never a dull moment here, and I love the collaborative spirit within our team!
Why did you choose SP/ want to work for them?
I have worked in social media marketing since graduating and love how fast paced and challenging the industry can be whilst also having a really fun, creative side too. SP has the perfect balance of this alongside some amazing clients which made it a great next move.
What do you like about working at SP?
One of the best parts of working at SP is seeing a project through from concept to completion and celebrating the fantastic results and content we produce. SP is also a place that encourages growth; there’s always a new goal to work toward, and the team’s support is unmatched.
What do you like about working within this industry?
Influencer marketing is a dynamic, evolving industry that constantly keeps you engaged. While it comes with challenges, it’s incredibly rewarding to see campaigns come to life and adapt to shifting trends and audience interests.
What’s the most valuable thing you’ve learned across your career so far?
The importance of being brave. It may sound simple but being confident in your own ideas and thoughts is so important in getting yourself to the next stage. There is never a wrong answer and your opinion matters, no matter how big or small. Start by speaking up in small team meetings and working your way up to presenting large client proposals. I’m not the loudest person but this has really helped me and taught me how to value myself both professionally and personally.
What’s the biggest challenge you’ve overcome at SP?
Moving from a similar company, I initially had to adapt to SP’s unique ways of working. However, the support from my team made the transition smooth, so it’s been less of a challenge and more of an enjoyable adjustment.
How has your career path/vision changed over the years?
With time, I’ve become clearer about the aspects of marketing I’m most passionate about. I may not know exactly where I’ll be in ten years, but I now value pursuing work that aligns with my strengths and interests.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in your role?
Keep going! Challenges will arise, and deadlines may seem tight, but solutions are always within reach. Work closely with your team, manage your time effectively, and stay resilient – it all pays off in the end.
